Congratulations to Lauren and Daniel for winning the Best of 2010 contest! I’ve always enjoyed this striking picture of Lauren and her father walking down the aisle, and I guess I’m not the only one. For edging out the tough competition, Lauren and Daniel will get a $200 gift certificate to Hungry Mother in Cambridge. It’s one of my favorite places to spend an evening, and I hope they will enjoy it, too.
Thank you to everyone who participated. And thank you most importantly to all of the great couples I got to know last year. I’m very lucky to do what I do. Taking pictures is fun, but the best part of this job are the friends I’ve made in the process.
The 2011 season starts next week with a bang. Check back in a few weeks to see where the wedding took place. Here’s a hint. It rhymes with . . . Italy!

Mary Manouchehri - I love this photo. The way her face is shadowed, but you can still see her smile gives me as a viewer a sense of intimacy – like I’m in on a secret. And it’s that moment…just before she steps into the light and down the isle to her future husband who’s anxiously awaiting to see her.
The lines and light make this a winner.
