Shosh and Ari Lev

Sewing was the impetus for Shosh and Ari Lev’s courtship. They met at a party and started spending time as Shosh showed Ari Lev how to make curtains. They’ve made a comfortable home for themselves in JP, and I loved documenting them in their space as their friends helped them getting ready. The ceremony was […]

Lindsey and Andrew

Lindsey and Andrew like to snuggle. Or so I learned from their family friend officiating the ceremony. We learned this, and other wonderful details about them, after their string quartet played a piece composed by Lindsey’s father. All weddings seem to have about the same outline, but Lindsey and Andrew demonstrated how personal and special […]

Miami

Remember that one time I went to Miami and second shot with Josh Behan? Josh is one of my favorite wedding photographers anywhere and seeing how he works and just getting to hang out with him for the weekend was a great pleasure. Getting to know Georgia and Eric and their families was also a […]

Beth and Matt

When I walked into Matt’s room at the Hotel Marlowe his dad asked if I was the rabbi. Maybe it was my beard. Or maybe he picked up on my Jewish ancestry. Or most likely he was just being funny. Everyone had a really fun and playful banter that day. Beth and Matt were such […]

Patrick and Chad

Patrick and Chad traveled up from Virginia to marry in Massachusetts. Erin and Jason

Erin and Jason met at a Fall River city council meeting. They love their city, friends describe them as champions of the underdog and they are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I experienced their kindness first hand, but over-hearing stories their friends told painted a descriptive picture of their generosity and compassion. […]

Healing

Two weeks ago The Wall Street Journal sent me to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital to visit with victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. I met Beth Roche who watched her daughter cross the finish line just before the first blast severely damaged her left leg. Beth is hoping she’ll be able to go home soon, but […]

Caitlin and Courtland

I met Caitlin and Courtland for the first time at the engagement session. I’m always amazed how after a few hours two strangers feel much more like friends. Starting with drinks and ending with sore feet is a great way to get to know people. Visiting the locations significant to a college courtship also helps. […]

Kate and Tyler

Tyler wasn’t sure if the new wedding ring would affect his guitar playing. He serenaded Kate at their reception and based on Kate’s happy tears I’m guessing it didn’t make much a difference. The sky was blue and there was a comfortable chill in the air that day. The distance between the church and their […]

Sidewalk Chalk

Our nephew Jacobi is learning to spell. He definitely knows his letters. With a little help he was able to write everyone’s name at our Mother’s Day bar-b-que on Sunday. He was even able to write C-H-A-N-N-I-N-G. You can see it just below his toes. And his hand-writing is almost as good as mine.
