Tim and Greg

I met up with Tim and Greg at their home in Somerville where we gave Scooter some time in the spotlight. After dropping Scooter off (so he couldn’t hijack the entire session), we wandered through Harvard Square and along Charles River as the sun went down. I had a great time getting to know Tim and Greg (and Scooter!), and I can’t wait for their wedding in June.

Kathryn and Pete

Kathryn and Pete just moved to Boston, so I didn’t even get a chance to meet them before their engagement session. It was great to get to know them as we wandered around Concord and their new neighborhood in Boston. Their wedding is next weekend at the Boston Public Library, so I won’t have to wait too long before we hangout again. Can’t wait!

Caitlin and Pete

Caitlin and Pete live in New Jersey and are getting married in Boston. But they lived in New York when they started dating, which made the city a great place for their engagement session. We visited some of their old haunts near Broadway and then the Upper West Side. Visiting a couple’s points of origin is a fast and great way to get to know someone, and I really enjoyed getting to know Caitlin and Pete. We almost did the engagement session in Boston which would have been great, but not nearly as special as this.

Andrea and AJ

Andrea and AJ live in New York, so traveling to explore the places important to them only made sense. Four years have passed since I was last in New York City, and I had so much fun wandering around different neighborhoods with Andrea and AJ. They were great tour guides and great company. We started in the West Village, made a short stop in Central Park and continued on to Brooklyn for the sunset. I had a great time getting to know these two in their natural habitat. I can’t wait for their wedding in Boston next summer!

Ashley and Alden

We started Ashley and Alden’s engagement session down the road from where Ashley grew up and along the water where Alden proposed. Afterwards we headed to the family farm where their wedding reception will be next summer. The location sounded beautiful as Ashley and Alden described it to me, but seeing it in person got me even more excited for their wedding. As if learning how much I enjoyed spending time with these two wasn’t enough.

Erin and Ben

Erin and Ben recently moved from the North End, so we used their an engagement session to revisit some of their old haunts. It was a great way to get to know them both, and now I’m looking forward to their wedding next year even more. Thanks so much for wandering around with me, Erin and Ben!

Tess and Jared

I have a bunch of weddings in November and December I’m looking forward to, but Saturday marks the end of my main wedding season (I’ve taken the last two weekends in October off to be a wedding guest and celebrate Brooke’s 30th birthday!). I can’t think of a better way to end an amazing season than with a trip up to Vermont to photograph Tess and Jared’s fall wedding. Here’s a few from their engagement session along the waterfront last year.

Karen and Ian

I had a great time walking around the Seaport District with Karen and Ian. It’s one of my favorite parts of town, too (Brooke and I got married there!). As much fun as it was to try a bunch of different pictures, the real pleasure was in getting to know them even better. I can’t wait for their wedding later this month!

Margaret and Hugo

I have been to Rockport once before, but it wasn’t until Margaret and Hugo showed me around I realized how little I had actually seen. We walked through the little streets, along the rocks, the sandy beach and even found a beautiful park above the shore. Getting to know Margaret and Hugo better was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait for their wedding next month.
