Angie and Robert traveled all the way from Puerto Rico to get married at the Chatham Bars Inn. The wedding was pleasantly small and intimate, but the dance floor had as much energy as a wedding twice its size. Such a beautiful day. Congratulations, Angie and Robert!
Ellis loves the summer. I’m a little worried about how he is going to handle winter when his clothes have to go back on. Even though this is my busiest time of year, I’d like to pat myself on the back for working hard and efficiently during business hours while still spending lots of time at the beach with my family. This might be the most pleasantly balanced my life has ever been.
Carolyn and Tom were married at the Popponesset Inn. New Seabury is a special place for Carolyn’s family, and I loved photographing on this little patch of Cape Cod not only because of its beauty but for its significance to Carolyn and Tom. I had so many favorite moments from this wedding day. Congrats, guys!
Did you know that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at your wedding venue it guarantees perfect weather? This southern tradition worked for Elizabeth and Jim at OceanCliff in Newport. Or maybe the universe was just rewarding them for being so darn nice. Regardless, I feel lucky to know these two and wish them the best. Congratulations, guys! And great to run into Meg (Jim’s sister) and Brian. Can’t believe it’s been almost five years since their wedding!
Every wedding is a little different, but the finale of Katie and Ryan’s wedding at the Museum of Science was quite different. I had never seen a couple sign a waiver, apply ear protection and then step inside a large bird cage that would be the only barrier between them and a massive bolt of electricity. I also loved how Katie and Ryan said goodbye to their friends and family and then waited outside for their Uber driver to take them home. Such a great day.
You might remember Laura and Dustin from their engagement session last fall. There was a little more sun and warmth compared to that November day. In fact, the day was beautiful all around. The historic Church of the Covenant and the Taj Hotel provided a stunning background to such a special gathering of Laura and Dustin’s loved ones. One of the funniest parts of the day was the glut of selfie sticks. Laura and Dustin gave them to the groomsmen and bridesmaids beforehand. Everything was very well documented while I tried not to worry about my job security. Congratulations, Laura and Dustin!
In March, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with mcgarrybowen on a Jeweler’s Mutual ad campaign in Austin. The shoot was just like an engagement session . . . that lasted two days and involved 10 people : ) The couples were patient and delightful to work with. I loved collaborating with creative director Nako Okubo, and I was grateful to have found producer Matthew Slimmer whose expertise and hard work before and during the shoot made everything run smoothly so we could focus on the content. Such a pleasure working with this awesome crew. I would describe Alexandra and Patrick’s wedding day as warm. The temperature was on the higher side, but the primary warmth came from Alexandra and Patrick and their friends and family. Loving emotions always seemed close to the surface. At any given moment someone was either crying or bursting into dance. The Lyman Estate also gave the wedding a backyard feel that kept everything relaxed and familiar. We were lucky to get Sean Proctor to tag along and second shoot. His beautiful and complex images are scattered in below. I was so happy to be a part of this one. Congratulations, Alexandra and Patrick!

Kathleen and Kevin got married at the Willowdale Estate. They were both emotionally present on their wedding day. I’d never seen a groom not only think ahead to get flowers for his bride but to also thoughtfully and patiently do the arrangement. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of this wedding and wish Kathleen and Kevin all the best. Congratulations, guys!

Natalie and Patrick got married at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island. The venue is one of my favorites to work at, and Natalie and Patrick quickly became one of my favorite couples to work with. We didn’t get a chance to meet before the wedding, but I learned quickly how easy they were to be around. I’m used to constantly problem-solving on a wedding day, but for some reason everything about this one just came together so easily. Thank you, Natalie and Patrick for being wonderful to work with.
