Elizabeth and Kavi

Elizabeth and Kavi were married in Elizabeth’s parent’s backyard. The day was a treat for the senses: White horses, vibrant sari’s, a tandoori oven, instruments, incense, tall grass, and gulab jamun (my favorite). Guests from all over the world converged on Wausau, Wisconsin to celebrate with these two generous and passionate people. I was lucky to be included.

Elephant Shoes

Shot a really fun wedding in Wisconsin this weekend that also allowed me to spend some quality time with our good friends Myndi and Charlie. We took this photo after eating fried cheese curds and concretes.

Stay tuned for more from the magical land of Wisconsin.

Amy and Matt

Amy and Matt have a taste for the vintage. They have a couple MGs and are renovating the Tudor-style home they bought this year. Considering they’ve also been planning a wedding, I’m impressed with how great the house looks. When these photos are vintage, I hope they’ll provide some context for how much Amy and Matt have accomplished together. They’re off to a great start, and I’m honored to have been there.

Channing - Thanks, Angela! You’re too kind.June 23, 2009 – 3:58 pm

Angela - I am a good friend of Myndi’s and she got me hooked on your pictures! I had a beautiful wedding myself 4 years ago, but I have one regret…that you didn’t photograph it! Can’t wait to see what pictures you take next!June 23, 2009 – 2:38 pm

Channing - Thanks, Lisa! And, yes, that is St. Ignatius. That’s funny that we were there the same weekend.June 22, 2009 – 5:50 pm

lisa rigby - Is that St. Ignatius Church? I know churches can look alike, but I was there last weekend! Love these pics, esp. the trolley, detail of little cars, groom in car. That night shot/reflection w/the blue sky is nuts.June 21, 2009 – 12:07 pm

Maureen - Love the pictures. They are truly beautiful and capture the magic of the day.June 17, 2009 – 10:28 pm

Rebecca and Descatur

Rebecca and Des live in Georgia but came up North to get married closer to home. I’m glad they did. Their families were warm and welcoming, and the whole day was a lot of fun. Everybody got ready at the Royal Sonesta before heading over to The Goddard Chapel for the ceremony and then up to the Topsfield Commons for a beautiful reception.

We were all fortunate Ashley O’Dell was also part of the wonderful day. You can see some of her lovely pictures below.

Christene and Tim

I think it’s because my own wedding was only a month ago, but I got a little misty-eyed during Christene and Tim’s ceremony (There was also mild tear activity during Christene’s dad’s toast. But, those were the only times. Honest.) There was just something beautiful about the mutual respect and love coming from their eight parents, Christene and Tim’s appreciation for the present, and the obvious and outward love they have for one another.

Rachel - Channing, these are refreshing wedding photos. I can tell you (and they) had a great time.June 13, 2009 – 10:02 pm

megan - beautiful. love the bunny slippers.June 2, 2009 – 7:59 pm

lisa rigby - this might be my favorite wedding of yours yet!June 1, 2009 – 2:37 pm

jim - He is truly a great wedding photographer who returns a wonderful Web product within a week! No doubt: this captured the wedding so very well. I like: the toast photos with the washed out background, the tent with the dark blue sky (and trees dipping to meet the line of the tent),and the kids in the grassy field. Bien fait!May 31, 2009 – 11:49 am

Tim - Channing, these are amazing! You captured the spirit and emotions of the day so brilliantly, so powerfully, so poignantly. We could not have asked for a more skilled and creative photographer. Thank you. Tim, the groom (now husband).May 30, 2009 – 10:33 pm

Channing - Thanks, Rich!!May 30, 2009 – 9:22 am

Rich Pizzuti - Oh man, srsly? This is an amazing piece of work right here. Great emotions, great moments, true story telling at its best. Also I like that you aren’t opposed to using the tungsten… fantastic work.May 30, 2009 – 8:50 am
