Anu and Roopak’s wedding was a fabulous way to close out the year. So much color and pageantry were on display. I’m guessing the Westin Waltham said no to a horse in the lobby so Roopak processed on a hover board during the baraat. Anu and Roopak were also two of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Congratulations, guys!
When you decide to have a baby you’re committing yourself to a concept. Even when the baby arrives your notion of the new family member is at best abstract, and that’s in the event you even have the mental space to think about it in those early months. Recently, I realized the concept I had more than two years ago has completely faded into the shadow of a real live human being with a sense of humor, ability to empathize and challenge, and who I not only love but who I really like being around. Most of the time. I’m told things start getting hard around this point. Hopefully the same rules apply that have already proven true: With each new challenge also comes a new reward. Happy Birthday, buddy. We love you.
Chris worked hard to gain access to Celia’s house so he could marry her. The bridesmaids had a series of obstacles that challenged the groomsmen but ultimately could not stop true love. Some of the tasks were so ridiculous that I am refraining from posting on the blog because I like Chris and because the internet is forever. Anyways, I loved this wedding and the contagious fun the people in these images exude. I love my job. Congratulations, Celia and Chris!
I’ve been taking personal pictures, but I haven’t made time to go through them. So, let’s reminisce about that warm weather trip we made to Connie and Ben’s tiny house in the mountains. There aren’t any bedrooms to speak of so we were all glad to see Ellis sleep through the night even within a slumber party format. The quiet, beauty, and lack of technology (and even lack of plumbing) was a nice way to break up a busy wedding season.
Sarah and Griff got married at the Omni Parker Hotel. My favorite part of this wedding was Sarah and Griff. They were both so easy going and charming. They set a tone that kept things from feeling rushed or stressful. My second favorite part of their wedding was the dance floor. Their friends have some pretty amazing dance moves, and that’s always an honor to photograph. Congratulations, Sarah and Griff!
There aren’t many weddings where I’ve laughed as much as I did at Danielle and Daniel’s State Room wedding. The wit of these two, as well as their friends and family, regularly had me laughing instead of doing my job. Luckily, there were lots of opportunities to capture people laughing and displaying a range of joyful emotions. Congratulations, Danielle and Daniel!
Cole and Nina got married in New Hampshire. I had never been to Francestown, but I’ll likely be back. Although I’ll have to accept that next time Cole and Nina won’t be there with all their beautiful friends and family members. I had such a great time photographing this group. Everyone’s emotions brimmed at the surface and made it all a joy to document. I was lucky to be there. Congratulations, Cole and Nina!
Matt and Seth got married at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center. I’ve photographed a handful of their friends’ weddings, and it was a pleasure and honor to finally shoot theirs. The ceremony was among the most touching and personal I can recall, and I loved photographing their dance floor. Congratulations, Matt and Seth! I’m really happy for you guys.
I’ve been looking forward to Kelly and Joe’s wedding ever since I got to know them during their engagement session. I was expecting an abundance of energy and warmth from the two of them, and I was glad to see those characteristics were shared by their friends and family, too. I’d be happy to shoot this wedding every weekend. Congrats, Kelly and Joe!
I didn’t know I liked photographing horses so much until I showed up at Caroline and Rob’s wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at Caroline’s family home and equestrian center in Berlin, MA. The property itself is one of the more beautiful pieces of land I’ve ever been on, and having the horses involved in the festivities added a certain magic to the whole event. Congratulations, Caroline and Rob! Thank you for including me!
