When a wedding photographer asks you to document them it’s always equal parts honor and jitters. But, Nicki and Johnny were so easy to collaborate with. They both did a great job suggesting ideas and elevating the session beyond what I could have offered on my own. I’m really happy for these two and feel better off having spent an afternoon as a guest in their beautiful home. Congratulations, Nicki and Johnny!
Brett is one of my favorite photo subjects. I thought that was because of his dreamy eyes, but after seeing him on my recent trip to Louisville, I realized it might have something to do with him always getting into things. He’s always tinkering or fixing or doing something visual. That, and he has dreamy eyes.

OMG he DOES have dreamy eyes! We miss you! Hope you and Brooke and little one are doing well!Planning for engagement sessions usually starts with a list of locations that act as a guideline. Kristina and Ethan didn’t just list, they sketched. I knew immediately they would be fun to work with. And even though the rain changed plans, in the end I think it ended up being better than boring, old sunshine.

very nice work channingNovember 23, 2013 – 5:19 pm
I mean…the photos are great, but the illustration is killerI traveled down to Kentucky for Stephanie and Stephen‘s wedding. Louisville is one of three cities I would consider moving to if I hadn’t married a New Englander (they don’t move). The wedding itself was outside of town on an expansive farm with tremendous character and history. The setting was ridiculous, but my favorite part was still Stephanie and Stephen. Congratulations, guys!

you’ve created one of the most beautiful blogs i’ve ever seenNovember 18, 2013 – 12:39 pm
you captured some amazing moments! great wedding.Katelyn and Brent were married in Kansas City. I spent some formative years in Missouri, and it’s always good to go back (not only for the bar-b-que). The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and I was so glad to be a part of it. Katelyn and Brent are musicians, and the band and music they chose set a great tone for the evening. And everyone was so nice! What they say about those midwesterners is true. Congratulations, Katelyn and Brent!

Astonishing, love the attention to all the details, party obviously rockedBrooke spent most of her pregnancy living in a construction zone. The instinct to nest kicked in, and she had no means to make a comfortable place for her baby. This past weekend we were showered with so much love (and gifts) from friends and family. With the renovations and nursery pretty much complete, Brooke is now making up for lost time and getting excited. I am, too.
So excited for you two, I know you’ll be a fantastic dad (and that baby will be well documented!).

So exciting! Congrats Channing & Brooke :)A bee stung Diana in the eye about an hour before her and Doug’s wedding ceremony. Catastrophic, right? I would have thought so, but with about a dozen medical professionals in attendance (including Diana), the swelling never really head a chance to start. Instead of tears of pain and disappointment, there were tears of hysterical laughter. Diana could have freaked out (and maybe internally she was) but she held it together and laughed at how perfectly ridiculous the situation was. And I’m guessing you can’t even tell me which eye her sister pulled a stinger out of. The collision with nature was the most ridiculous part of Diana and Doug’s wedding day, but it was only an occasional punch line by the time their fun wedding reception got rolling along. I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Diana and Doug before their wedding, but I was really pleased to learn what a great fit we were. Congratulations, guys!
Ariadne and Kyle met in the dorms at Harvard and appropriately got married yards away at Memorial Church. The reception was at the Harvard Club and the whole day was a lot of fun. Getting to know Ariadne and Kyle was a pleasure, and I’m so glad they invited me to be a part of their wedding.
Juliana and David and I started our engagement session at their apartment pretending (convincingly) to play the piano. We then wandered around their neighborhood to document this special time in their lives. Engagement sessions are tough to make look natural, and I really appreciated their sense of play throughout the process. Can’t wait for their wedding next year!

I knew I would like working again with these two after their engagement session, but I wasn’t prepared for how sweet and completely hilarious Juliana and […]Erin and Scott are getting married in Denver next year. But their courtship and life together started in Boston. Since they may not be in town forever, we thought it would be special to record all of their favorite spots. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with these two and wish all the best for them in the coming year and beyond.
