Tara and Reid

Backyard weddings are my favorite. Creating pictures with meaning is made easier when the location is significant. Tara and Reid’s wedding wasn’t only in a meaningful place, but it was also in an absolutely beautiful one. Congratulations, Tara and Reid!

Sharon Campbell - Wonderful pictures!!! They really captured the beauty, grace, joy, and excitement of an enchanting wedding for an amazing couple!!! Congratulations Tara and Reid!!!August 30, 2013 – 12:39 pm

Nikki - That is quite the backyard–beautiful! And beautiful photos as well–the couple cannot stop smiling :-)August 28, 2013 – 11:48 am

Donna Cislak - Tara you made a stunningly beautiful bride! Reid you look like the handsome prince. Congratulations!August 27, 2013 – 6:44 pm

Karen and Mike

I really enjoyed being around Karen and Mike on their wedding day. You could tell how excited they were, but Karen and Mike set such a calming, comfortable tone for what can sometimes be a hectic experience. Their vows made me want to be a better partner in my own relationship, and on a day which many people take advantage of being the center of attention, they seemed so interested in their guests. Congratulations, Karen and Mike!

Maritza and Matt

I met Maritza in 2009 at Emily and Matt‘s wedding. In the past four years there’s been a couple of occasions where I’ve found myself at Maritza’s friend’s wedding or at coworker’s wedding. Next month I’ll finally be at Maritza and Matt’s wedding. Even though I’ve run into Maritza a couple times over the years, I got to really know Maritza and Matt simultaneously during our engagement shoot. We bonded over living amidst home renovations (plaster dust) and smoking (meat). I figured good friends of Matt and Emily would be fun and thoughtful, but it was great to find out for sure. Can’t wait for the wedding in just over a month!

House Blessing

Our house had been in the previous owner’s family for 60 years. Two years ago when we bought the home they left behind this house blessing. I’m sure it was hard for them to leave, and giving us the framed blessing was very thoughtful. Over the past two months we’ve been gutting and rebuilding the entire first floor, probably the first significant update in at least 30 years. We want to make the house our own, but we also want to honor its history. We sealed the blessing in the wall so it will always be a part of our home. Here’s a little gift for whoever does the next big renovation.

Christine and Bo

I had no idea where Cutty Hunk was until Christine and Bo contacted me about their wedding. Anything that involves a ferry sounds like an adventure to me, so I was really excited about traveling to this small island with very few amenities. It’s hard to predict the weather when you sit on a small patch of land in the Atlantic. So, even though rain was forecasted all day there was just enough early precipitation to pander to my expectations of what it’s like to live on a New England island. Then the clouds broke for a sunny ceremony and clear reception. The location was really special but so were Christine and Bo. I didn’t get a chance to meet them before the wedding, but I realized quickly what a great fit we were. Congratulations, Christine and Bo!

KLC - So, when you work weddings do you actually clone yourself so that you manage to get seemingly EVERY SINGLE awesome moment of emotion and joy? Such amazing work.August 1, 2013 – 5:17 pm

Morning Sickness

Brooke had hangover symptoms for two-months without the pleasure of drinking. And not just in the morning but all day. In other words, we’re pregnant. Or Brooke is pregnant. I like to say “we” because I want to show I’m engaged in the process, but I also don’t like to say “we” since only one of us is doing all the heavy lifting. Regardless, now that Brooke can hold down food and has her energy back we’re getting excited. Terrified, too, but mainly excited.

Nikki and Bart

Nikki and Bart are two of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year. Their laid back wedding at the Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster included both a touching ceremony and a really fun reception. I love going to the cape and the time I spent with these two people and their great family and friends made it all that much better. Congratulations, Nikki and Bart!

Addie - That picture of the baby with the women sharing hors d’oeuvres is THE BEST. So funny.July 19, 2013 – 12:56 pm

Nikki - Channing you are amazing! We cannot stop looking at the pictures. You captured more than I could have ever imagined. We will always be able to relive our wedding through your photos. Thank you!!! :)July 19, 2013 – 7:53 am

Tiniesha and Mike

Tiniesha and Mike met at the Charleston Chew factory. Or at least the apartment building that once manufactured the classic candy and where they both lived. They set their wedding within the storied walls of  Turner Hill, located in historical Ipswich. I like how they’ve managed to begin different chapters of their lives within these interesting and historical spaces. And I’m glad I could be their to document the beginning of their own official family history. Congratulations, Tiniesha and Mike!

Nikki - I second the comment above me, SUNDAE BAR!! Great photos Channing!July 10, 2013 – 1:14 pm

Shosh and Ari Lev

Sewing was the impetus for Shosh and Ari Lev’s courtship. They met at a party and started spending time as Shosh showed Ari Lev how to make curtains. They’ve made a comfortable home for themselves in JP, and I loved documenting them in their space as their friends helped them getting ready. The ceremony was at Temple Shir Tikvah before all their guests formed a parade and marched to the Winchester Town Hall. The whole days was a lot of fun. Congratulations, Shosh and Ari Lev!

Nikki - That just looks like so much fun!June 27, 2013 – 12:30 pm

Christina - Love this!June 27, 2013 – 12:18 pm

Lindsey and Andrew

Lindsey and Andrew like to snuggle. Or so I learned from their family friend officiating the ceremony. We learned this, and other wonderful details about them, after their string quartet played a piece composed by Lindsey’s father. All weddings seem to have about the same outline, but Lindsey and Andrew demonstrated how personal and special a celebration can be. Once you spend a little time with them you realize they can’t help but be themselves and outwardly express the feelings they have for one another. It was a privilege to document this. Congratulations, Lindsey and Andrew!

Carin - So flipping cool. Love this.
Channing – your pics want to make me get married all over again!!
