We took the Christmas tree down today. As ready as I am to eat a little less and sleep in my own bed for consecutive nights, I got a little sad as I walked the Christmas tree out the front door and tossed it in the cold. Brooke said this was the saddest day of the year. I think she might be right. Luckily we’ll be able to drink our sorrows away on New Year’s Eve and start looking forward to next year’s festival of lights.
Time keeps on moving, doesn’t it? Just a few weeks ago we were putting up our Christmas decorations, and next week we’ll be taking them down. In the mean time I’m going to be spending some much anticipated moments with family and friends. I hope everyone has the opportunity to do the same. Oh, and for the record: I like the tacky colored Christmas lights. Brooke has a slightly more tasteful sense of Christmas nostalgia.
Cristina and Wyeth inadvertently had their first dance as a married couple in a honky-tonk. These are the unexpected things that happen when you get married in Nashville. Cristina is Brooke’s grad school BFF, and in a very short time Cristina and Wyeth have become some of our favorite people. Being a part of their wedding at the Cannery Ballroom and all weekend long in Music City was a highlight of the year. I even came back with a belt buckle. Congratulations, Cristina and Wyeth!

Wonderful pictures!! Thanks so much for providing us with awesome lifetime memories of Cristina and Wyeth’s wedding.December 11, 2012 – 6:22 pm
I wish I could attend all the fabulous weddings Channing does. This one looks like a blast! Great photos too!One of my favorite photographers anywhere is Yoon. And even though he and Chelsea are dear friends of mine, I was a little nervous about taking their engagement pictures. We started at their apartment, ran some practice drills and wandered around Davis Square before we met up with Brooke for dinner. And in case you are wondering, I am not nervous about taking Chelsea and Yoon’s wedding pictures. As a guest, the only thing I’ll be worried about is eating too many appetizers before the entree is served. I couldn’t be happier for these two. Congratulations, Chelsea and Yoon!

I remember chatting with lovely couple Chelsea and Yoon at your and Brooke’s wedding.December 3, 2012 – 10:43 pm
these are so lovely! i am so happy for these two as well… already can’t wait to see the nuptial photos. ;)It’s always way too long between the times we see Myndi and Charlie, but the actual time we spend together is always wonderful and familiar. This visit we got to meet Emerson. She’s just as cute as she wants to be, and even though she was initially confused by Uncle Chan (I think Brooke got a warmer reception) by the time we left I knew we were going to be friends. Thanks for the best weekend, guys.
And Brooke on the beach in my favorite city. Beautiful.December 4, 2012 – 12:55 pm
Adam got ready at his parents’ house, and Kate got ready at her mom’s bed and breakfast in South Hadley, MA. Their ceremony at Saint Patrick’s was followed by a fun reception at Look Park in Florence. It was such a pleasure to get to know Kate and Adam and their families, especially their two little boys who clearly had a great time. Congratulations, Kate and Adam!
I didn’t get to meet Erin and Adam (and baby Colin!) until their wedding day, but I sure felt like I knew them by the time I showed up in Maryland for their wedding. Along the way we found out we have a handful of mutual friends, and after reading their beautiful story in Erin’s own words I couldn’t think of them as strangers anymore. I had so much fun at their Thorpewood wedding and feel so incredibly lucky to have been a part of it. Congratulations, guys!

Just beautiful Channing!Taylor and John were married at the Ballymeade Country Club. They got ready at Taylor’s family’s home in East Falmouth. I love it when wedding days involve significant places. I also love it when a laid back couple sets the tone for a laid back and beautiful day. Congratulations, Taylor and John!
Keren and John live in Maryland but they came up to Massachusetts for their beautiful wedding at the Red Lion Inn. I instantly felt connected with Keren and John, and I also loved how playful and animated their guests were. I can’t recall the last time (if there was a last time) guests clapped and cheered for everyone in the ceremony processional. What a fun wedding. Congratulations, Keren and John!
Katherine and Bryan were married at the Coast Guard Academy chapel in New London, CT before heading over to Lake of Isles in North Stonington for a beautiful reception. I wasn’t able to meet Katherine and Bryan before the wedding (they’re both in the Navy, and it’s been a few years since even they have lived in the same town) but I quickly felt comfortable with them and their families. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their wedding, and I’m happy to know they’re finally sharing the same address : ) Congratulations, Katherine and Bryan!
